About Us
GuitarPaintGuys is a small shop located in the heart of the Midwest!
With over 14 years of experience, we are ready to give your guitar or bass an awesome new finish.
We have offered professional guitar and bass finishing services to manufacturers, builders, and individual clients, in all 50 States.

We absolutely love what we do, and would love to work on your guitar or bass!
Our Mission is to provide quality finishing and refinishing services that are in reach of the "every day" musician.

About our Finishes
We primarily use high quality urethane and polyester finishes.   This type of finish is durable, easy to care for, and has an exceptional gloss.

These finishes are much more durable than the old lacquer formulas, and are also applied as thin as possible, without sacrificing the quality.
There is no such thing as a "perfect finish," but we strive for the highest quality possible, and are always improving!

Enough words - how about we let some samples of our work do the rest?

Turn around time
Finishing is a complex process that does take time!

There is no such thing as "rushing"when it comes to finish work.

We have a fully climate controlled shop, however, high humidity in the summer months and freezing temperatures in the winter months, do have
an effect on how fast paint dries, and when we can paint.     Mother nature always wins guys - simple as that!

The volume of workload in our studio also effects overall turn around.    Because of our LOW PRICES - we do stay pretty busy!
Our clients trust us!    A LOT of our workload is from Repeat Customers!!!!

Some things that can take extra time:
*Guitar bodies that arrive in poor condition
*Guitar bodies with binding
*Metal Flake Finishes
*Graphical Finishes and Custom Orders
*Non stock colors

Turn Around Times are posted on each finish type page of this website for all to see BEFORE ordering.

Posted Turn Around Times are ONLY AN ESTIMATE, and NOT set in stone!

We simply want your finish to be properly complete before shipping!
We typically do finish most orders ahead of our quoted times.

*We have never had this issue, however, due to rising shipping costs  - Any request to return a project in our studio before completion, will be
charged for the work and materials already used for that project and / or a minimum $30.00 flat rate to cover return shipping.
Payments
We  accept most Debit and Credit Cards through PayPal.
Cash Payments are accepted for our local customers..

No item or order will ship without cleared payment!
Price Quotes
All quoted prices are good for a period of 30 days from the date of quote.
Returns
In order to keep our prices low, and because all of our work is custom, one of a kind, and specific,  we can not offer a traditional returns
policy.   All sales are final unless otherwise specified by GuitarPaintGuys in writing.

We do stand behind our work!    If there is a problem with your custom finish, just contact us within 7 days of receiving your order, and
provided there is a case for your dis-satisfaction, we would be happy to discuss a repair!

Any modifications to the instrument void this guarantee.

Color selection is the responsibility of the individual customer.
No refunds or returns will be given for "buyers remorse."

Sale Priced Orders, Specials, Mistint and Overstocked Colors, Used, 2nd's, Discontinued or Closeout items are always sold "as is" and
on an All Sales Final Basis.   No Refunds or Returns.
All sales outside the USA are "All sales final."

Please be sure that you understand, and agree with these terms before you make your purchase!    A purchase does constitute full
acceptance and agreement with these terms.
Shipping
We ship standard insured ground primarily.
(All items typically ship within our normal shop hours - M-F   9 am - 5 pm  CST  - Holidays Excluded)

** We will only ship to the address each specific customer has entered on the PayPal Website.
It is the customers responsibility to ensure their correct address is updated.
We will not be liable, as it is outside our control.
Orders will not be shipped until cleared payment has been received.

GuitarPaintGuys Free Return Shipping ( where included / quoted ) reflects standard "Ground" Shipping.
Any additional shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Our Free Return Ground Shipping is good ONLY on completed paid orders.

Import, Customs, VAT, etc. fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
Drop Off / Pick Up
We often are asked if instruments can be dropped off or picked up at our shop.    Sorry.   No.
We do not have a public store front to make this possible.

We have a closed shop that is not open to the public, for safety  reasons.
Decals
We do not carry, and will NOT apply any unauthorized manufacturer decals.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
Please do not email us attempting to negotiate this part!
  The answer is NO.
Custom Orders
Custom Orders are unique to each individual and are sold on a sales final basis.

Once GuitarPaintGuys begins a custom order, the order can not be cancelled.
If changes are requested while the order is in progress, we will do our best to accommodate.
Depending upon how far along your order is, changes may not always be possible.

Completely changing the paint job as a whole is not possible once the order is in progress.

Custom Orders are sold at a quoted price plus actual return shipping at current USPS and UPS Ground Rates.

**All custom orders do need to be discussed / agreed to PRIOR to sending a guitar body for finishing.
In the event this does not occur, and the custom finish can not be completed, the customer will be responsible for return shipping
charges of their guitar body.
Unclaimed Items
It is very unfortunate that we now have to make this kind of policy!

Any items sent to us for finishing that are not paid for in thirty (30) days from the completion date will be subject to a $10.00 per month
storage charge.
Storage fees will be billed on the 31st day from finish completion.
Any such items not paid for within 3 (three) months of the finish completion date, , will be considered "abandoned" and will be
liquidated and GuitarPaintGuys, its owners, and employees, shall be fully released from any and all legal or civil liabilities related to
such items.

We are not a storage facility.   Your local Yellow Pages can assist you in that area.

We are a small shop, and simply do not have the room!

Again, we feel that it is extremely unfortunate that this kind of policy has to be in place.
Force Majeure
GuitarPaintGuys, its Owners, Affiliates, and Employees, shall not be liable for any delay in or impairment of performance resulting in
whole or in part from Acts of God, pandemics, labor disruptions, shortages, inability to procure product, supplies or raw materials,
severe weather conditions, or any other circumstances or cause beyond the control of GuitarPaintGuys.
